G20 Summit Turkey 2015

The 2015 G20 summit recently took place in Antalya, Turkey and has just wrapped up. The world’s most powerful leaders were there discussing the pressing financial and global issues facing the world today. Obama, Putin, Merkel and the other leaders and financial wizards of the 20 major economies of the world. High level diplomacy. High level security.

In a highly reported deviation from expected events, and despite the heavy presence of security,  personnel with stop watches and agendas, earpieces, bulging jackets, perpetual cellphone communication the summit was held up. By a small band of roving felines. A trio of cats invaded the summit stage and, despite the efforts of Turkish organizers, they casually strolled around, checking out the stage, the flowers, the carpets and possibly more before sauntering off stage left. They seemed quite disinterested and unfazed by the gathering of the worlds media who were in the audience and took their time to do what cat’s do best. Check for mice? Scent the drapes? Sharpen their claws on the carpets? The media in their turn did what they do best and fully reported it. A lot.
