Take one kitten, a couple of hapless and funny guys, a Los Angeles drug gang, a hitman, lots of action and what do you get?

And the kitten is teeny tiny and super cute!

Keegan-Michael Key
 Jordan Peele
 Tiffany Haddish

When an L.A. drug kingpin’s kitten unexpectedly enters the life of two cousins, they will have to go through gangs, hitmen and drug dealers who claim him in order to get him back.

This action comedy movie is appealing because of the kitten, and the funny guys who fall in love with it. Through a series of oddball circumstances and typical action set ups this movie passes a couple of hours mixing violence, humor, and sheer big city action. Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele are fun and entertaining as the two hapless guys who stumble on the bad guys while trying to rescue the kitten.

Not the deepest of plots (but then again is any cat movie??) this movie is fun and despite being somewhat predictable was enjoyable. Not sure how much it would have been if the kitten wasn’t in it, but it was entertaining.

There is a lot of violence in this film with shooting and more shooting.

Bodies flying through the air.

And there is a lot of bad language.

So basically, this isn’t a movie for kids at all.

NO., a watchdog site that rates appropriateness in media for youngsters, rates it as appropriate for 17+. Check their review and comments here.

But for cat loving adults this might just be a fun way to reinforce the cuteness of kittens!
