The world is abuzz with excitement over the delightful occasion.

Street parties are being planned in the UK.

Royal watchers will be getting up in the middle of the night in the US to view it. And much of the rest of the world too.

There will be lots of bubbly, tea sandwiches, bunting and hats to celebrate.

And, in at least one town in England the occasion is being marked with wedding staged in wool.

Yes, wool!

have created the entire Royal Wedding Party in wool. They have knitted Prince Harry, Queen Elizabeth, everyone. Even the Queen’s corgis!!

With enormous attention to detail they started knitting 5 months ago to have the wedding party ready in time. Guessing what the dress would look like they have gone with a short sleeve version but are reading to knit another one within an hour in case they have it wrong.

Devotion!

So what do cats have to do with this you may wonder?

Well, knowing how connected cats and knitting are, with cats loving wool, laps, and cozy times….and knitter loving cats it is safe to assume that there were probably some cats involved in the creation of this knitted Royal Wedding. So, while there won’t be any cats in attendance (or corgi’s) at the event on Saturday it is safe to assume that this knitted version has more than likely had a few cats to help with the creation. Without contacting each individual knitter is will be difficult to know exactly how many cats were involved but given the love between knitters and cats it is safe to assume there were some cats who shared the love of the wool, the event and the lap.

Score one for the felines!

Cheers to the happy couple!

Update:

The knitters spent the Royal Wedding updating Meghan Markle aka Duchess of Sussex’s dress.

That is devotion. And Integrity!!
