The UK edition of Country Living Magazine recently featured a post about some of the strangest cat names of 2018, according to Battersea, a UK animal shelter. With a vast array of animals passing through their door they might be considered an expert on what is going on. Some animals probably arrived with names, but others were given them by shelter staff. They are obviously a highly imaginative bunch.

Here is their list:

Schrodinger ~ the scientist who is really only known for his cat. Unless you are something like a particle physicist.

Catrick Swayze  ~ after the actor Patrick Swayze of Dirty Dancing, Ghost, and many more.

Pepe Le Mew ~ the super romantic French skunk from Looney Tunes at Warner Bros.

Miss Vanjie  ~ a performer from RuPaul’s Drag Race.

Juan Pablo de Cordoba III ~ Huh?? A financial expert from Columbia. The country, not university.

Interesting names wouldn’t you agree? Certainly makes a difference from Fluffy and Slasher. And Spot and Tiger. Clearly their staff are creative, and have some interesting hobbies.
