Happy Lunar New Year 2019!

According to the Lunar calendar this is the year of the pig.

Or the boar.

However, visitors to Asia will find that the cat is to be found in so many places it could also be seen as the year of the cat.

Every year.

As you can find cats in most households.

Many shops.

A lot of businesses.

So, clearly, it is……

The year of the cat.

The ruler of the home, the bringer of happiness.

As symbols of luck and prosperity the lucky cat  ~ Maneki-Neko ( read more about it here) ~  is to be seen throughout Asia, and throughout the world in Asian homes and businesses.

Whether it is the year of the pig, rabbit, dog or any of the other zodiac animals we cat lovers know that each year it is really the year of the cat.
